Personal information

I have been on this world since 1st October 1976, which makes me a 22-year-old Libra (for those who like to study the horoscope). Most of my time I spend here, in Slovenia, and in a town called Kranj. Well, actually I live in a village near Kranj, called Naklo, but in the large scale the difference doesn't matter.

I attended and finished Grammar school (Gimnazija Kranj), and passed the first year of studying at the Faculty of Computer and Information Science in Ljubljana. So far, I haven't regretted my decision.

My knowledge of computers started with ZX Spectrum. The first one was with 16kB RAM, the second and the third didn't work, and the last one (still in my drawer!) has 48kB RAM. Boy, those were the days when you had to wait 5 minutes or more for a 40kB program to load from the tape...

Then there was time that I wished I had an Amiga. The graphics ( it could produce more than two colours on an 8x8 pixels patch of screen!) and the sound (it was like listening to a radio!) fascinated me. Well, it never really came on my desk, but a 286 did. With a monochrome video equipment, of course.

Now I'm a proud owner of a Pentium^TM. The only problem with this machine is that all the Spectrum emulators run unbearably fast... :-)

I enjoy cycling, skiing when there's snow (bring us the snow!!), Scuba diving (well, I'm one-star-diver...), but because of other vices - playing games, watching films, chatting on the IRC - I'm pretty unfit. I know, I have to do something about it.

When on IRC, I can be most likely found on #Europe, "hiding" myself behind the nick Matey. You can recognise me by the quotation "I don't even hear when I think aloud", of course by Pink Floyd.
